Description
Knossos cucumber is a traditional, Greek variety of small-fruited cucumber. Its origin is from Crete , and specifically from Knossos , from which I took its name . The fruits do not exceed 25cm in length and is one of the most aromatic cucumber varieties. It is very crunchy, has a strong flavor and is not bitter, which makes it an ideal choice for salads and not only.
As a plant, it is climbing and has vigorous growth, so it needs proper support and strong ties. Planted towards the end of spring, depending on the area, climate and altitude and harvested about 60 days after planting . Because of its origin , it has better resistance to heat and drought than other varieties.
