Description
The dittany (Origanum dictamnus), otherwise known as “Cretan oregano” is a small aromatic shrub with round leaves and beautiful pink/purple flowers in summer. It loves very sunny locations and needs very little watering.
It can withstand the cold winter temperatures, which makes it ideal for both cultivation and for the balcony.
You can use it in food, salads and roasts instead of oregano (both the flowers and the leaves). It is also recommended as a decoction for its soothing properties. -1
